Previously, players needed to contact customer support directly and have someone manually move the data over to the new platform. Not only is this great for players who own devices on different ecosystems, but it also makes the process of transferring data to a different device much easier if switching to an iPhone or Android smartphone or dropping Mac for Windows. Now, after installing this latest update, I can also load the same save file on my iPhone and Android tablet as well.
